Structural principles, classification and application of abnormal air purification equipment air showers

As well known in the purification industry, the layout of people blowing channel and cargo blowing channel are extremely strict, all the people and objects need to follow the relevant procedures for entry and exit the clean room. This involves the main content of our article: air shower room.
In purification projects, the air showers often need to be installed on the people passing channel of some clean rooms, It uses high-speed (≥23m/s) airflow to blow off and remove particles attached to the surface of personal clothing or materials. Because the air (cargo) shower doors cannot be opened at the same time (interlocked), it can be as the airlock chamber, prevent external dust from entering the clean room, and prevent the air in the clean room from being quickly decompressed, so that the clean room maintains a positive pressure.
Friends who have been in the clean room projects in the electronics industry should have discovered that there are many air showers used in their workshop. Accompany with the development of the times, there are many clean rooms in the electronics will not only set the people blowing air shower, but also use air shower for large cargo passing channel to purify dust particles attached on the cargo surface, hence ensure the cleanliness of the clean room.
Structural principles and classification of air shower rooms
The air shower is also called air blowing room, which is mainly composed of a fan, filter, nozzle, interlocking door and control system.
The principle is that the clean air after filtered by the HEPA filter is sprayed from the nozzle on the inner wall of the air shower, blowing off the dust on the work clothes. The dust-laden air passes through the Pre filter and is sucked in by the fan, and then flows through to the HEPA filter after being pressurized. In this way, an air purification device with internal circulation and filtering effect is formed.
Generally, the control system of the air shower is as follows: the air shower will be equipped with a timing device. When the worker enter into the air shower room, the infrared senors the object, the air shower starts blowing in the setting time. The blowing time is 15-99seconds adjustable, it will automatically stop after blowing time finished. Then the worker can enter the clean room to conduct production experiments.
According to the different blowing methods, there are currently two main classifications of air shower on the market: single-sided blowing shower and double-sided blowing shower.
A double-sided air shower is equipped with nozzles on opposite sides. After a person enters the air shower, he only needs to turn 90° to be blown all over his body by the high-speed tangential airflow. However, a single-side air shower only has nozzles installed on one side. After entering the air shower, the person needs to rotate at least 270° to one side, so as to be blown all over the body by the high-speed tangential airflow.
In addition, the air shower will be divided into: single, double and multi-person. The author learns that many manufacturers on the market can also produce non-standard air showers, but no matter what type of air shower they are, their structural principles are basically the same as described above. It should be noted that the door of the air shower room needs to be equipped with a interlock device, that’s the doors cannot be opened at the same time to ensure the cleanliness of the clean room from contamination. If there is no interlocking device, the user's training and management costs will be increased.
Under what circumstances is an air shower used? In a non-unidirectional flow clean room, when the particles on the clean work clothes have a greater impact on the experimental production of the clean room, an air shower must be used at this time, because it is difficult to achieve complete clean situation by simple HEPA box blowing. In a clean state. In a one-way flow clean room, due to its high purification and blowing capabilities, it is not necessary to set up an air shower at this time, except of course for larger logistics equipment, which requires a separate logistics air shower. In addition, when using the air shower room, a bypass door is usually set up next to the air shower room. There are two main reasons. One is for staff to use after get off work, because generally there is no need for air shower when leaving the clean room; Convenient for escape and entry and exit of clean room related process equipment.
That’s all the relevant knowledge about air showers. I hope it will be helpful to you.
